So let’s get started with three more great SEO tips:-
So let’s get started with three more great SEO tips:-
Request Reciprocal Links.
Find complementary websites and request a reciprocal link to your site (especially to your free service, if you offer one). Develop an out-of-the way page where you put links to other sites -- so you don't send people out the back door as fast as you bring them in the front door. Your best results will be from sites that get a similar amount of traffic to your site. High-traffic site webmasters are too busy to answer your requests for a link and don't have anything to gain. Look for smaller sites that may have linking pages.
Check out Ken Evoy's free SiteSell Value Exchange. It (1) registers your site as one that is willing to exchange links with other sites that have a similar theme/topic content and (2) searches for sites with similar topical content.
Additionally, two automated link building software programs stand out -- Zeus and Arelis. These search for complementary sites, help you maintain a link directory, and manage reciprocal links. However, use these programs to identify the complementary sites, not to send impersonal automated e-mail spam to site owners. When you locate sites, send a personal e-mail to the administrative contact found in the Whois Directory (http://www.whois.net/). If e-mail doesn't get a response, try a phone call.
One warning: Be sure to only link to complementary sites, no matter how often you are bombarded with requests to exchange links with a mortgage site that has nothing to do with yours. One way Google determines what your site is about is who you link to and who links to you. It's not just links, but quality links you seek.
There are options outside of asking for links as well. You can comment on blogs or articles that have enabled the feature. For example, visit business related sites and become a regular reader. Comment on the site as often as possible. Google might not always register the link back, but the other search engines will (Yahoo, MSN).
Another good place to put your link is in the signature line of forums. For instance, you might go to a relevant business related forum and comment on a topic there. If you provide a witty or exceptionally well written comment, a user is going to be more interested in finding out about you. The only way to do that is through the link in your signature line.
Finally, last but not least, is Text Link Ads, or TLA as it’s known around the Internet. TLA is nothing more than a link broker, where you pay for a link on a site that has a good Page Rank or has good, loyal readers.

Write Articles for Others to Use in their Newsletters.
You can dramatically increase your visibility when you write articles in your area of expertise and distribute them to editors as free content for their e-mail newsletters or their websites. Just ask that a link to your website and a one-line description of what you offer be included with the article. This is an effective "viral" approach that can produce hundreds of links to your site over time.
The key is to find a site that is well indexed in Google. The what you can do is write a 400-1000 word article for the site, email it to them, and have them include a link to your site at the bottom! There you go – a free link.

Begin a Business Blog.
Want links to your site?
Begin a business blog on your website, hosted on your own domain. It’s best to put it in a subdirectory, such as:
http://www.YourBusinessSite.com/articles/
If you offer excellent content and regular industry comment, people are likely to link to it, increasing your site's Page Rank.
If you have a blog on a third-party blog site, occasionally find reasons to talk about and link to your own domain.
For those of you unfamiliar with blogging – it is a cheap, instantaneous publishing solution on the Internet. To put it a nutshell, there is software out there that lets your right anything you want, whenever you want. The catch is the content needs to be something that other people are going to want to read.
There are a lot of different kinds of blogging software out there today, but some of the most widely used are Blogger.com and is WordPress. This blog is set up on Blogger.com so I will discuss the Wordpress platform so you can investigate that option also.
WordPress is a system that you can build blogs on, normal websites, and just about anything else. And it’s free.
Your best bet is to download the WordPress software from http://WordPress.org and upload it to your server. From there, you can play with the look and feel of it, change the templates, install and configure plugins, and any number of other things you could do. Unfortunately, we don’t have enough time to talk about all of the little intricacies of blogging, but there is plenty of information out there on the Web!
One thing I do want to say about blogging is it is supposed to be less formal than writing a magazine article or something more professional. Oftentimes, this is why bloggers are absolutely adored! Because their readers get to see them in a bad mood, a good mood, some swear and show a lot of pictures… At the end of the day, blogging is about who you are, not how you write. But the nice thing is you get a lot of recognition and a ton of link backs!
Until next time, as always I wish you every success with your business.
